Starbucks, Washington, DC (19th & M)

I have been coming to this Starbucks for years and have never entered the restroom until now. It's a fairly busy place in the mornings, but I was pleasantly surprised at what I found. The color scheme of burgundy and gold was warm and lovely. There was a nice decorative mirror and light combination over the sink and the smell was pleasant and clean. The paper towel dispenser was full and in working order and the trashcan was open and clean. The store requires patrons to use a key to open the door which eliminates the fear that the lock will fail leaving you exposed to the staff and fellow coffee drinkers. Now for the bad, the lighting was a little on the dim side and there was a little hair and dirt on the sink. The soap had a nice smell (not too antiseptic), but the dispenser was nearly empty. There also an additional soap dispenser attached to the sink, but it did not work. The cleaning products and toilet brush were in plain view (unsafe for kids, especially the ones who drink coffee) and the receptacle for the used feminine products was missing the bottom. Overall it was not bad. It wouldn't make me not go back to the store again especially since I went during a very busy time.
